WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Who is Jesus Christ? Have you ever stopped to dig into the origin of this name?

Here on Just a Word, we have written several articles on Jesus Christ, but this is one with a difference.

Previously, we focused on the difference between the Messiah of the Christian religion (Jesus Christ) and Yahusha HaMashiach, the Hebrew Messiah. Here is a sample of the articles that we looked at.

THE ORIGINS OF JESUS CHRIST

However, in this video, we look at who is Jesus Christ from an entirely different angle. We move away from trying to prove the true Messiah according to scripture.

Instead, we move towards proving the Jesus Christ of Christianity historically. Who is he, and where did he originate? Was he the Hebrew Messiah, the Israelite from the tribe of Judah who walked in the kingdom of Judah among his fellow Israelites and who said he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel?

Mat 15:24  But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

NAME CHANGE

So let us get to the meat of the matter: who is Jesus Christ? Why is his name not a Hebrew name? Why was the name of the Hebrew Messiah changed?

Despite the claim of the religious naysayers, the name does matter! This name change does affect our salvation, as this new name was not the one name given among men by which we can be saved:

Act 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

HIS OWN NAME

Additionally, the Messiah had made a dire prediction that if one came in his own name, he we will receive and not accept the Messiah YAHUsha who came in his Father YAHUah’s name:

Joh 5:43  I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF LUCIFER?

So I came across this video of the Catholics worship of Lucifer. Have you ever seen it?

Well I know they worship other gods and not YAHUAH TSABA’OTH as revealed by these verses:

Psa 96:5  For all the gods of the nations are idols: but YAHUAH made the heavens.

1Co 10:20  But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to YAHUAH: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

Jer 2:11  Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

However my zeal to come to the understanding of where Jesus Christ really came from skyrocketed when I watched the video and saw them heralding Jesus Christ as the son of Lucifer! Don’t believe me, then watch this:

WHAT IS THE ORIGIN OF THE NAME JESUS CHRIST?

So the urgency came upon me to find out who this Jesus Christ really is. It couldn’t be the Hebrew Messiah, as he is not the son of Lucifer, and I know the Catholics do not follow the law abiding Hebrew Messiah.

Where did Jesus Christ come from? What was his origin? Was it the Hebrew Messiah that was just given another name and false attributes in error? Or was he a deliberate false Messiah that Yahusha HaMashiach warned us about?

That Messiah would be so convincing, he will fool most people:

Mat 24:4-5  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Messiah; and shall deceive many.

Mat 24:24  For there shall arise false Messiahs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

So the onus is on us to prove him so we are not among the many who are fooled!

THE GREAT CHRISTIAN DECEPTION

And so the question of Who is Jesus Christ was so important that subsequent to doing this video (that answers the question), the answer formed part of our Sabbath teaching. There, we looked at the topic, “The Great Christian deception.”
