Who Will Be Taken And Who Will Be Left? Surprising Biblical Evidence

Who Will Be Taken?

Luk 17:34 — Luk 17:36
I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

The answer to the question of who will be taken and who will be left will determine a huge end time contradiction.

Led by the popular Christian doctrine of the rapture and a well-known movie called “Left Behind,” most people will tell you that the righteous will be taken. However, is that what the Bible says?

It has been my experience that most popular doctrines out there are the religious teachings of men and therefore not absolute biblical truth.

As biblical truth-seekers, we will dig for truth by delving into this question of who will be taken and who will be left.

Why Is It Important For Us To Figure It Out?

What makes it absolutely necessary to figure this out is because knowing who will be taken is important for us to not be deceived in the end time.

You see, some Christians and their rapture theory say that they will not be here for the time of tribulation that is to come upon the earth.

If they are wrong, and they indeed will be here for the time of trouble, they will be taken by surprise.

Spiritually unprepared, they would therefore not be ready to cope with an apocalyptic time that the Messiah said has never been seen before and never again will be seen.

Indeed, in speaking with a Christian a few days ago about the mark of the beast, she said she will not be here to take it as she will be raptured away before that.

So if the mark of the beast comes and she is still here, she will most likely take it, thinking it cannot be the mark because she is awaiting the rapture.

So do you see how dangerous it is to get this wrong? Therefore, today, we shall try to bring out which is right. Who will be taken? Who will be left?

The Bible Says We Must Suffer

Before we look at who will be taken, let us look at another common error. The Bible tells us in no uncertain term that the life of a new covenant believer is one of suffering, just like the Messiah suffered while he was here.

Php 1:28-30 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of YAHUAH. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Messiah, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

The Messiah is the firstborn of many brethren (Rom 8:29); he is our big brother. Just as he suffered to be given leadership of the kingdom, so we must also suffer to enter the kingdom as sons of Yahuah (1 John 3:1):

2 Th 1:4-15 So that we ourselves glory in you in the assemblies of YAHUAH for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endureWhich is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of Elohim, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of YAHUAH, for which ye also suffer:

It is because of this reason that the Apostles all died violent deaths. All suffered persecutions and tribulations.

Yet, Christians believe they will be “magically” whisked away and everyone else left to suffer simply because they accept “Jesus” as their saviour. That is not biblical. It is a deception.

False Messiah

Think about it: the Apostles suffered serving the Messiah, as did the first-century disciples, but Christians will not suffer? Wow; I wonder why? Could “Jesus” be a false Messiah that is leading Christians to be deceived in the end time? Hmm.

Why Do We Have To Suffer?

Why do we have to suffer though? There are several reasons.

  • We have to be tried and tested and moulded into vessels of honour (2 Tim 2:20) worthy of the kingdom.
  • We are being sanctified unto holiness (Heb 12:14)
  • Our flesh is being brought into subjection to the Spirit (Gal 5:16-24)
  • We are being moulded into a royal priesthood, a holy nation (1 Peter 2:9).
  • We are being made to conform to the image of our king Yahusha HaMashiach (Rom 8:29), who learned obedience by the things that he suffered (Heb 5:8).
  • We are being made into an elite class of holy people who will rule the earth in righteousness (Rev 20:6).

That is why we must suffer. It is to transform us so when he appears, we are ready:

1 Pe 4:12-13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Messiah’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of YAHUAH, and joint-heirs with Mashiach; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Some Christians Say: No Suffering

What do some Christians say? We must not suffer. If we are suffering, it means that something is not right because “God” does not want us to suffer.

Hence we have a proliferation of false doctrines such as the prosperity doctrine: “God” wants us to be rich.

The verses about suffering are ignored and replaced with rational reasoning. So we hear things such as “how can a loving “God” want us to suffer?”

We make him into who we want him to be: an Elohim of only love and not judgment. We conveniently forget that he is the righteous judge.

Of course, we also take a few verses out of context and twist them to make doctrines. The main point is, we already see a conflict here. The Bible says we should suffer to enter the kingdom; some say no suffering.

So let us now look at who will be taken, and we can tie it all together to see if Christians will indeed not suffer and if the rest of those who follow the Messiah outside of organized religion will suffer.

Bear in mind that the vast majority of Christians do not believe in obeying YAHUAH’S laws and commandments. Most will tell you the law is done away with.

Will the disobedient be spared suffering in the tribulation whilst those who obey are forced to suffer? Well, let’s see.

Who Will Be Taken and Who Will Be Left?

Luk 17:34 — Luk 17:36
I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

So the big question is which is which: who will be taken and who will be left?

Now we know we solve these problems using precept upon precept, line upon line (Isa 28:10). Now in the verse above, the Messiah was speaking of his return, so let us look at another account of him telling us what his return will be like:

Mat 24:37-41 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Note he said just as in the days of Noah, so shall his return be. In the days of Noah, it was the unrighteous who were taken.

So just as in the days of Noah when the flood took the evil away, so the evil will be taken away when he comes! So we see. that those taken away will be the evil ones.

This “taken” means they will be killed! So Christians waiting to be taken are actually unknowingly waiting to be killed!

I hope you see the importance of understanding who will be taken and who will be left. If you are a Christian, please don’t stop here. Please continue for more evidence.

Meaning of Taken As Used

As we can see, the meaning of taken as used is as follows:

Meaning of “take” as in “taken:” transitive verb :

to get into one’s hands or into one’s possession, power, or control: as
a : to seize or capture physically
b : to get possession of (as fish or game) by killing or capturing

Do you see that it is nothing good (as used in end-time prophecy)? It refers to an absolutely negative impact on those who will be taken.

The Wheat and the Tares

So with that in mind, next, let’s look at the popular parable of the wheat and the tares. A close examination of it will reveal to us who will be taken and who will be left:

Mat 13:30 Let both (wheat and tares) grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

The tares will be gathered first. These are those who will be taken and destroyed. Then the wheat that is left will be gathered in the barns. Proof?

Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Remember, he said: “Gather ye together first the tares.” That means those taken first (tares) will be destroyed. It is the wicked who will be taken and the righteous will be left.

The Gathering of All Things That Offend

So let us continue with more biblical proof by looking at the gathering of all things that offend:

Mat 13:40 — Mat 13:43
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Notice again, he shall gather out all the evil (they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity). They will then be destroyed. Then the righteous (that are left in his kingdom) shall shine forth.

Again, totally consistent with our finding: the unrighteous will be taken and the righteous will be left.

The Parable of the Net

But we’re not done. We have to definitively make the point to tear down the rapture deception.

Mat 13:47-50 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

So we see, the wicked shall be severed (taken) from among the just and destroyed. From among speaks of the wicked being taken out of the midst of the unjust. Again, it is the unrighteous who will be taken!

Who Will Be Taken and Who Will Be Left? A Biblical Reality

1 Th 3:4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

We must suffer tribulation and if we are alive at the time of great tribulation, we must go through it.

There is a video which I share below that does so well to explain all that I have explained, plus the biblical reality of the so-called rapture. Go straight to the video.

Summary: Who Will Be Taken and Who Will Be Left?

In summary, all will go through the great tribulation and those that endure to the end shall be saved. Speaking of the end times, the Messiah said:

Mar 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The evil will be taken, which means they will be killed. In the end, those that are saved (who endure to the end) shall be caught up to meet the Messiah in the air upon his return. Remember, the Messiah will return AFTER the tribulation!

Mat 24:29-3- Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Pre-Tribulation Rapture Believers Wake Up!

A misunderstanding of this rapture theory will cast us into blindness in these end times. It will leave us unprepared for what is to come, starting with the mark of the beast, which is upon us at this time.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).

We must first know who we are, then we will know that Christianity is a false religion given to us to ensure we disobey the Father. Everything the Bible says, Christianity rebels against it.

Anyway, let me not digress as this video below fully explains the teaching in this post. Please watch it. It is worth your time.
