Today, being July 29, 2019, Clarifications and adjustments have been made in the Church bylaws concerning clergy income, clergy vocations and church seminary education. These adjustments and clarifications will be beneficial for the church, clergy members and all others.
One exciting feature is that 50% of the proceeds that a minister or bishop receives for certain services has to be given to the church. This measure seems perfect in the sense that the services are associated with and dependent on the church's existence.
Additional vocations that church ministers and bishops may charge money for include:
. Christian Holistic Health Specialists or Practitioner
. Board Certified Pastoral Counselor
. Wedding Services
. Funeral Services
. Christian Education
There are some clarifications now as to when clergy members may charge for funeral services.
It is more clearly indicated that bishops and ministers that perform these services do so as independent contractors that are licensed by the church.
