The Sun Stood Still: Joshua's Bold and Unusual request

From the beginning, we are made in the image of God. We are made to take dominion over all things on earth. We are made as the sons and daughters of God. We are meant to be the head and not the tail. We are meant to rule and reign with Christ.

God wants us to live a life of faith and He loves it when we have the boldness to ask of Him. Our God is a good God who will do anything, especially great and mighty things for us. He is a speciality in miraculous ways of deliverance and Victory.

God commanded Joshua again and again, to be strong and of good courage. And indeed we see Joshua being courageous in many ways.

The most significant being Joshua boldly asking the Lord to make the sun stand still so that they can triumph over their enemies (Jos 10:12-14) And God heeded his voice and granted his bold, unusual request, that even defied the law of nature that God Himself has put in place.

Our God is not limited by anything. And likewise, our faith in Him need not be limited by anything. Nothing is impossible with God. Even the elements of nature: the storms, the winds and wave, even the sun will obey at His command.

If you dare to ask it, God can give it to you. But you need to ask according to His word and His will. For you can ask and receive not because you asked amiss (Jas 4:3). Joshua's unusual and bold request from God for the sun to stand still was granted, because it was God's will to fight for and deliver Israel His people.

God's will is to deliver us and to give us victory. What are the seemingly impossible situations that you are facing today? There is nothing that God cannot do for you to deliver you.

BE STRONG,
BE COURAGEOUS,
BE BOLD !

Let your faith go beyond even natural boundaries and rise up above all limitations.

SPEAK TO THE SUN TO STAND STILL, THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR VICTORY AND DELIVERANCE TODAY!

Joshua 10:12‭-‬14
12 Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” 13 So the Sun Stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. 14 And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel.

Jas 4:3
You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Prayer:
Dear God, I am facing situations that seem impossible for me to have victory over. As I read Your word today, I am reminded to be strong, courageous and bold. I am reminded that You have created me to take dominion and to rule and reign with Christ. I thank You that You are my God who is a specialist in great and mighty miracles. I thank You for Your love for me and that Your will is for me to deliver me from all challenges. I pray and ask boldly of You today, just like Joshua. Lord, deliver me from every difficult situation that I am facing. Remove all obstacles. Make my paths straight. And let my life be one walking in the fullness of Your victory, goodness and glory! Thank You that I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus! The sun shall stand still and I will have complete victory over all my enemies!

In Jesus' name, Amen!

God bless,
Hazel
