When God says his words will surely come to pass, I think we often assume that this happens in an abstract. His words are absolute not just because of his nature or because he says so, but because he himself guides it and Watches over them, to ensure that in due time, they come to pass.

He Watches to Ensure Manifestation
He clearly says so in Jeremiah 1:12. Here is the verse in different versions
The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.” (NIV)
And the LORD said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out all my plans.” (NLT)
Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.” (ESV)
Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. (KJV)

Be at Ease – Do not Fret
Let this be a word of encouragement to you. He is watching over you and over his words to make sure that they happen and manifest in your life. Do you know what this means? He will crush every power, erase every demon, demolish every mountain and calm every single storm that stands in between you and his promises.
So, do not be shaken and d not doubt him. Pray to him for strength to wait for his appointed time, read his words to make sure you are filled with knowledge on what his promises for you are, and rest comfortably in the knowledge – that for sure, his words will surely come to pass.
