A Shift

“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”
—Mark 9:23 (NLT)

Imagine God showed a person a glimpse of the plan He has for their life but they never manifest that Reality because they struggle to believe that reality is possible. There is fear of failure and then there is also fear of opportunities. If a person does not replace fear with belief, their desires are unfortunately just displaced energy. The person in question can be a righteous person or an unrighteous person, but the quality of what they make possible for themselves will be determined by the things they believe.

The scripture above only says “anything is possible for a person who believes.” It does not have to be a good person. It can even be a bad person. The requirement is only that the person must believe. Religion teaches a lot of people to associate their self-worth with their performance, and consequently many people are only blessed in alignment to the level of their guilt. The truth is, similarly to the way the Bible says God causes rain to fall and bless the just, as well as the unjust, blessings are not just what we earn by works but by the effectiveness of what we believe.

As an example, if you want to pass a test, you have to see yourself as a person who has already passed that test. You have to believe that reality is something that already exists. Irony is when condemnation tells a person that because of their past or because of their guilt, they will never be able to get what they are hoping for, and because that is what they believe, that is exactly what they get. It is also a shame when there are arrogant and (what some might even call) “undeserving” people who confidently believe for only the best and consequently receive only the best because that’s what they believe.

One cannot be mad at another person for attracting blessings on the level of what they believe they are worthy of. We must never compare our lives to others and think we can judge and assume what is fair or unfair for others to receive. You and I do not know what the next person is Believing. What about you? Do you have the ability to believe you are already flourishing? Do you believe you are already blessed or already happy? I’m not talking about believing those things will happen, but believing that those things are already who you are.

No matter how difficult it becomes, one must reprogram anything in their mind that does not fall in line with what they are conditioning themselves to believe. It is easy for a person to believe the things that have already been their reality or the condemnation that makes them feel guilty or undeserving. However, for the things you are hoping will be made possible in your life, it will require a strong shift in what you choose to believe is already your reality.

Lots of Love, XO
