Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’”
—Matthew 4:7 (NLT)

There are so many things in this world that will attempt to tell you who you are and what you are not, where you are allowed to go and what you cannot be. If you listen to every voice that tries to tell you who you are and what you can and cannot do, you might (unfortunately) end up having some form of identity crisis. Know what God says about you.

When people aim to convince you that God is not with you, remind yourself: "It is written, God is with me always, even until the ends of the earth." When your situation tries to tell you that things are never going to change, remind yourself: "It is written, the Lord is not slow in keeping His promises." When people try to tell you what you do not deserve or cannot have, remind yourself: "It is written, if I delight myself in the Lord, He will grant me the desires of my heart."

Do not let anything keep you from the promises that have been made concerning your life. Be careful of who and what you listen to. The Bible says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. Reject words that plant seeds of doubt in your mind and embrace words that stimulate your courage and faith. Always remind yourself: "If God said it, then (even in times I do not see it yet) it is what He said!"
