I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the most High.
Psalms 82:6 (KJV)
God said you are a God. God didn’t write you are a god. No, He didn’t do that. What He did was to give His word to the writer that you’re a God. It’s the writer who reduced your divine status to that of a god.
In Psalm 68:11 God spoke through David saying, “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” God gave the word. He didn’t give the letters. It’s the publishers that produced letters out of the word of God. And in their move to reverence the Almighty as well as differentiate you from the Father demoted your divinity to that of the gods.
What God said was, “Ye are Gods.”
How do we know that?
After God has spoken that you are a God. He went further to say, “And all of you are children of the most High.” The Gods whom He was talking about are children of God the most High. They aren’t Gods that came out of no known root. They’re Gods that came out of the most High. You’re the offspring of the most High God.
But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:12-13 (KJV)
We who’re born of God had received the life of God which gave us the power to become sons of God. It’s the life of God in us that make us Gods. It says we aren’t born of blood, or of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but that we were born of God.
By being born of God, we have the life of God. The very life of God that makes Him who He is resides on the inside of us. Everything produces after its kind. God can’t give birth to a god nor can a god give birth to a God because both don’t carry the same kind of life. The Bible made us understand in Genesis 1:24-25, that everything reproduces after its kind. Goat gives birth to a goat, a man gives birth to man. God also give birth to Gods and not gods. Not only do they give birth after their kinds. Their offspring carry the life of their procreator.
You’re a God. You carry the life of God.
The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because of You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God." Jesus answered them, "Has it not been written in your Law, 'I SAID, YOU ARE GODS'?”If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?
John 10:29-36 (NASB)
The Jews said Jesus made himself God, not a God. Many Christians are still at the Jewish level of knowledge about God. This level of knowledge makes them comfortable with the identity gods than Gods. They see God as one entity and His sons as another entity. But Jesus said that the son and the Father are one (John 10:30). They’re the same. They share the same kind of life. Everything in the Father resides in the Son. He went further in John 14:9 to say that whosoever that has seen the son has seen the Father. There isn’t any difference between them both.
The same is applicable to you. You’re not just a son of God, you’re also a God. Whosoever has seen you have seen God your Father. You’re a replica of God.
Someone who is reading this may just say, Pastor Hold on a second. Can you raise the dead? Can you walk on water? And so forth. These aren’t what make God. One who does these things who isn’t born of God isn’t a son of God or a God. But one who doesn’t do these things and is born of God is a son of God and a God.
Our identity is an offshoot of the Father’s.
I didn’t say one who can’t do but one who doesn’t do because every child of God can do whatever God can do. Any child of God who hasn’t done things God can do has a limited knowledge of the ways of God. That’s why we teach the word to unveil the ways of God to the children of God.
When Satan confronted Jesus after his forty days of fasting and prayer, he tried to get Jesus prove he’s a son of God by making some demonstrations.
And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:2-4 (KJV)
Could Jesus turn stones into bread? Yes. But why didn’t he? One of the reasons is we aren’t what we do. We’re who we’re first before what we do. You don’t become something because you did it. You’re something before you can do it. If you refuse to prove who you’re, that doesn’t make you less than who you are.
You’re a God because God gave birth to you not because you did what God could do. Join the multitudes that have joined the God’s race by making the following prayers from the depth of your heart with all sincerity.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Oh Lord God, I believe with my entire hearth in your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died for me and You raised Him from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from today. Through Him and in His name I have eternal life.
I am born again. Thank you, Lord. I am now a child of God. Praise God!

PASTOR’S PRAYER FOR YOU
Receive knowledge as a God in the name of Jesus. As the eyes of your understanding are enlightened by the truth, may grace to walk in them come upon you in the name of Jesus Christ.
I prophesy health to your body in the name of Jesus. Sickness no longer has power over your body anymore in the name of Jesus.
I prophesy increase in your finances. The favor of God that breaks protocol comes to your life right now. Grace for promotion is yours now in the name of Jesus.
Whatever can’t stop God from today gives way to in the name of Jesus. Amen
PERSONAL CONFESSION
I’m a child of God. I’m born of God. I’m a God. Nothing is difficult for me. All things walk together for good for me from now onwards.
My path is that of the justified that go from one level of glory to a higher level of glory.
My tomorrow is created by God to be far better than mine today. I give God all the glory for such a beautiful tomorrow. Amen.
I live the life of God on earth to the glory of God.
