I Do Always Those Things That Please The Father

Types and shadows have been mentioned before. The definition of a type is “a person or thing symbolizing… something.” (Source) The definition of a shadow is “to represent vaguely, mysteriously, or prophetically.” (Source) Enoch is depicted this way in the Bible.

By illustrators of the 1728 Figures de la Bible, Gerard Hoet (1648–1733) and others, published by P. de Hondt in The Hague in 1728 [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Genesis 5:24

This foretells the resurrection of Christ, of Jesus being raised from the dead.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. John 8:29
