Let's look at mankind's greatest Fear. The one thing man knows he can’t control is death.(though a few think they have the power) Fear keeps us in bondage. Especially the fear of death. Especially in this season of CV19. Satan will use whatsoever he can to deceive us and to keep us trembling from his lies. But Jesus came to set us free from every fear the enemy could conceive. At the cross of Calvary Jesus took the pain and the shame of sin that should’ve been ours. Then, three days later he rose victorious on resurrection morning-for the joy-for us. (Hebrews 12:2)
14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Hebrews 2
15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God-Romans 8
And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us. I John 4
The Perfect Sacrifice
You see, Jesus loved each one of us enough to sacrifice himself, to allow the enemy to mock him, spit on him, whip him, scar him, and murder him. It looked like defeat to the world and even his disciples, but it was far from the truth. When he said “It is finished!” he wasn’t talking about his own defeat- but Satan’s demise. Because of Resurrection Day “death has no sting” for God’s children!
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God Hath Chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. I Corinthians 1
Sacrifice-To give away (something valuable) for the purpose of gaining something better.
22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. Luke 9
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 2
If you know this Jesus and have already surrendered your heart and life to Him then rejoice because your redemption is near. Look up until He comes! But don’t forget to work in the kingdom while you have the opportunity. Yet, to you who have not surrendered your life to God NOW is the time. His Word tells us “How shall they escape who neglect so great a salvation, what can a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Height of Humanity
In this world's sorrow happiness replaces it
Temporary and meaningless though it is
In this world there's given a covering of fortune and fame
To hide the loneliness and shame
In the world there's little time given
To know the reason for being-
Self sings its own song
No matter if it's right or wrong
Height of Humanity
Where does it begin?
In my sorrow He became my joy
In return for my shame He gave me His glory
When I felt desperately alone
He taught my heart to sing
His sweet song
In His pain healing was made mine
In His death I was delivered from its sting
When He arose again He sent that priceless gift
The Holy Spirit-to the souls of men
Height of Humanity-
God within!
