In a world where some kind of terrorism is an everyday occurrence, society is becoming more and more lawless, and governments are either imploding from within or else being controlled by tyrants, where can we and the rising generations find security and stability? What about Hope and purpose? We don't need man-made false hope that only appears to fix the problems and then disappoints in the end. We need an enduring hope that will be with us through out every difficulty of life on this troubled earth. I'm talking about a living hope...
(1 Peter 1:3 KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
As Christians we know this world isn't our home. we're just passing through, yet it'll take a lifetime. While here our source of strength comes from Jesus Christ who holds all power in heaven and earth. He is our captain; we're in a war; victory is certain! All we have to do is follow his instructions which are within the pages of the Holy Bible. But people who choose to ignore, neglect, or reject His Word have no hope for deliverance in these last days.
(2 Timothy 3:1-4) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Our youth of today need to experience and comprehend the hope and power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. unfortunately, many of those who have been taught the truth were drawn away by temptation or believed some error that caused them to stray away from their faith. If they had been fully rooted and grounded in the Word of God then it would have been harder for them to turn away from it. Returning to the Bible's truths is the only remedy. Sadly, many young people don't know the ten commandments, much less the doctrine of salvation. Remember the saying "If we don't stand for something then we'll fall for anything." (e.g..radical islam) We have the responsibility of training and equipping our children to know and be prepared to fight the enemy of all enemies-satan.
When Jesus was in the flesh he used the Word to defeat the enemy and we are to follow his lead in this great war for the souls of men. When he said "It is Finished!" at the cross his great mission was accomplished and the way was prepared for us to join the army of the ages and follow him in faith (1 Peter 1:13 KJV) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
For the Love of truth in Jesus name let's point the youth of this last generation to the road map for life.
