COME TO THE LIGHT
Why are the Jews and Israel hated so much? One reason is because many of them seek to live by the Book-at least the first part of the Book -which is called the Tanakh by Judaism. Within the Holy Bible God tells us a lot about the purpose of Israel and the Jewish people. The following verses in Genesis 12 begins the story:
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get Thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great ; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth
God chose Abraham who came from a land of idolaters (they served many gods)to be the father of Israel. It would become a Nation that had a covenant with the One true God and therefore be an example to other ungodly nations. Through Israel the Messiah was born and the Gospel of Jesus Christ was spread across the world to Jews and Gentiles alike.
And when he was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 8And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. Genesis 17
A great point of contention among Arab people-nations is that Jews declare that the land of Canaan(where Israel is today) was given to them through the promise God made to Abraham. Jews consider him as both their ancestor and as the patriarch of Judaism. But Arab Muslims claim that Abraham is their patriarch and prophet and that they rightfully inherited the land through his first son Ishmael. But the promise of the land of Israel came through the lineage of Isaac and Jacob-not Ishmael.
And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. Genesis 17:9
But God did not forget Ishmael because he was Abraham’s son also.
20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee : Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful , and will multiply him exceedingly ; twelve princes shall he beget , and I will make him a great nation. Genesis 17:20
Many people believe Ishmael’s descendents are now the Arabic desert nations of the Middle East. These nations include: Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Syria. The majority of them were founded in the exact same century as Israel was reborn. So you can surmise from the fulfillment of these prophecies that God did keep his promises concerning both Isaac and Ishmael. (Yet there are future fulfillments to come)
Muslims believe the Koran(Quran) was given to their prophet Mohammad by the angel Gabriel. The Bible opposes such a possibility..Galatians 1:8, 9 Moreover, their “sacred” book is full of contradiction and error. And there is evidence that Islamic religion and traditions originated with the worship of the moon god of ancient times. To truth seekers it is obvious that Islam is a false belief system built on deceptive lies.
According to the Koran they honor the “People of the Book” which means Jews and Christians. Basically they claim to believe in the Torah and the 4 Gospels but they say that the Koran is the last and highest revelation of Allah’s truth. Still yet they assume that Jewish and Christian scriptures have been corrupted on purpose to discredit the Koran. Surely if they searched out the proofs of their own religion then they would realize that Islam has no foundation in truth or peace. Radical Islam teaches submission to Allah by force. Almost on a daily basis these terrorists target Jews and Christians in particular, raising the likelihood that it is the one world end -time religion that will be ruled by the Anti-christ. True religion is only by choice and real salvation is only in the name of Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:12)
THE GOD OF THE BIBLE IS A GOD OF LOVE WHO CAME TO THE EARTH IN A HUMAN BODY AND DECLARED HIS LOVE TO US BY SACRIFICING HIMSELF ON THE CROSS FOR OUR REDEMPTION. HIS NAME IS JESUS CHRIST AND HE SAID “I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU THAT WHERE I AM YOU MAY BE ALSO.”
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed ; and he went out , not knowing whither he went .
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age , because she judged him faithful who had promised .
12Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead , so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. Hebrews 11
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed .
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham..
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3
'Muslims and Jews alike must believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ if they desire to enter the Kingdom of God.' (Jews must accept the whole Bible and Muslims must receive the true Word of God.)
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish , but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved .
18He that believes on him is not condemned : but he that believes not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved .
21But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest , that they are wrought in God. St. John 3
