I've been subbed on here for a little while. I've found in my life that Buddhist principles like the 5 precepts and 8-fold path have been excellent tools to apply in my life and have brought me to peace time after time.

I've always considered myself empathetic. I feel energies of people as they walk in a room and sometimes I can literally see a golden aura surrounding people. I'm a great listener to friends and am often told that I give great advice. Sometimes I have silent moments with friends and they go out of their way to tell me that my presence with them brings feelings of ease. This is one thing that I am very happy I can provide to the people around me.

I've heard of people who deal in Spiritual Healing. Using the flow of energies to open chakras and bring the path of balance to someone. I've read about Reiki healers, but I don't know if it is a for real practice or something that is used to get people to spend money and doesn't actually provide benefit. What I'm hoping you wonderful people can answer is where can I go to learn about genuine spiritual healing. Is it something that really exists? Are there gurus or centers that can teach me? I want to submit myself to helping those who are suffering. For them and for myself. Alleviating a confused heart brings me healing just as much as it does to them.
