Dreams, how real is the reality we visit each night ?

I have always wondered if there is any difference between being asleep and the waking world, especially as we probably spend an equal time in them both.

I have found meditation and re-framing from intoxicants and even sugar aids in Awakening dreams, where you become aware that you are dreaming.

Some dreams have been more real than the awakening world and at times it feels like I have suddenly been put in the body of someone else life. They know me yet I dont know them, other times there is a familiarity of people I have never met yet, past life's maybe ?

The last dream I had I did question people in my dreams asking them if they thought the Reality I was in really existed, because of the multiverse and if you think about the multiverse it just makes everything ever so complicated if true. It just feels like reality is nothing more than one big fractal dreamscape spiraling of in all dimensions and some we are not aware about to infinity and beyond.
