There is no individual on the face of the earth today that is not engaged in one Battle or the other. Whether we like it or not, we fight battles every day. So many people fight to be alive, some are fighting for healing, some fight to live a life free of lack and want, some fight bitterness, depression, anxiety, fear, envy, just name it. I discover that a lot of people have not been able to win the battle that confronts them on a daily basis because the engine or the source where the battle generated from has not been conquered.
We were made to understand from scriptures that man is a composition of three parts; the spirit, the body and the soul. The spirit dwells inside of the body (it is the real you) and it will never die but it can live in torment or bliss depending on your decision. In the soul of man, there are three distinctive features that determine how man reacts to circumstances around him. This features are; The MIND, The WILL and The Emotions. These features are important; they actually determine the outcome of our day.
Looking at these three features, I realize that man has not been able to guard the MIND. The MIND is the field where battles are won or lost. The only entrance the Enemy has into your personality is your MIND.
You will keep fighting battles of negativity, depression, anxiety, until you close that entrance door that you opened for the enemy. The enemy can easily plant a bug in your head in form of a thought (negative) and if you do not deactivate it as quickly as possible, your mind will automatically become the enemy’s playground and battle ground.
The battles of the mind usually start with a thought, thought about doing right or wrong, thought about obedience or disobedience, and the thoughts keep flashing so fast. Your mind is the coordinator of all your actions and your thought patterns.
The enemy only knows how to do three things perfectly well, he steals, he kills and he destroy. But he can only achieve his aim if he has been able to infiltrate your mind. He knows that the only way he can keep his grasp on you is for him to affect your thoughts. If he succeeds, you become his prisoner, and you can end up in captivity for a whole lifetime if caution is not applied.
I love the game of darts so much. Whenever I hit the bull’s eye, I am always excited because it gives me more points and at the end, I end up winning the game. So you see, your mind is the bull’s eye of the devil, he will keep throwing darts of negativity at you until he wins.
Never think of defeat even in the face of adversity. You will definitely win if your mind is right and you sense a note of victory on your mind. Whatever you think in your heart (mind) so shall it be unto you.
One of the greatest weapons of the devil is lying. He is the father of all lies. He uses lies and deception to capture your mind. But if you think right and close the doorway to his lies, you will always live in victory
