IS GOSSIPING A CAREER

The world is not a Perfect place. There are a lot of imperfections everywhere and expecting your friend to be perfect is a criminal act against God and humanity.
Everyone has his or her own shortcomings, so expecting your friends to always get things right is an indication that they don't need Jesus Christ of which you know fully well that it is impossible.

The society is filled with naysayers, busybodies, gossips, and rumour peddlers who are fond of saying things they know aren't true and they deliberately omit certain details just to be able to prove their point. The sad part is that they are so blind to the mistakes they make as humans. They would rather ignore the beam in their own eyes by paying rapt attention to the speck in other peoples eyes.

Whether you like it or not, life will always present you with opportunities to make people feel bad or better. You don't really need to tell people what you heard about others even if it is true because it is not necessary

Proverbs 20:19
He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, Therefore do not associate with a gossip.

Psalm 34:13
Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.

Proverbs 11:13
He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is trustworthy conceals a matter.

Psalm 141:3
Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips
.
The things your hear about someone, no matter how bad it appear should be taken like a pinch of salt because of its level of unimportance.

Telling someone something negative, that you heard about somebody else, is like starting a multilevel network marketing of rumours and gossips.

You should learn to look beyond the fault of people. Don't be a fault finder. You should never allow the information you heard about someone no matter how juicy they are affect your opinion or perspective about that person.

Be quick to reprimand that friend of yours who is of the opinion that your ears are cabbage can for trash. If you can't deal with them on a personal base, refer them to somebody else.

If you protect the reputation of others, you are sowing a seed for your reputation to be protected in the future. Gossipers always remind God of the need to bless those they speak ill of.
