Croatia fans have gone ballistic about the Three Lions especially Harry Kane who they described as 'slower than a snail.' Some observers however say this is out of fear of the English with whom Croatia lock horns tomorrow in the second semi-final of the World Cup. It could also be an attempt to unsettle Gareth Southgate's Three Lions.



Croatia tabloid newspaper 24 Hours attacked the Three Lions skipper and expressed astonishment that he is Russia 2018’s top scorer.

Basing his assessment on two games Harry played in for England’s Under-21s against Croatia four years ago, Sports writer Dejan Lovric sneered :
“In Vinkovci he did not know how to get the ball — now he is the captain of England.

“He puts the ball on his chest, loses the duel and falls to the turf. The ball ran away from him as if he were shovelling it.

“He decides to dribble but falls slower than a snail.

“God, this tall Englishman has no idea, I thought watching England and Croatia match in U21 Euro 2015 qualifiers in Wolverhampton.

“Who is this poor reincarnation of Peter Crouch?”
