Leicester refused to sanction a £60 million transfer for Mahrez to Manchester City
Mahrez has now missed a fourth successive training session. He has also been absent from their past two Premier League matches. This was after Leicester refused to sanction a £60 million transfer to Manchester City last week.
According to reports, Leicester City may consider asking the Professional Footballers’ Association to mediate in their dispute with the player.
Mahrez has Refused to work with his team-mates since last Tuesday, when he missed training amid interest from City late in the January transfer window. He is reported to be in a fragile frame of mind.
His absence from yesterday’s session was not unexpected by Leicester, who are keen to negotiate a solution to the stand-off.
