It would appear that the age-old enmity between humans and serpents is fast receding. This is best demonstrated at Tokyo Snake Central where you are allowed to sip on some juice and get some grub all the while holding a snake, if you want to.
Here, serpent lovers can spend 1,000 Japanese yen (£6.53) to hang out with reptiles.
This cafe in Shibuya has Snake decor and a matching theme with the foods as they offer sausages with snake tongues. The cafe’s pipes are even clad in snakeskin-patterned wallpaper.

Hisamitsukaneko, the cafe owner, an avid lover of reptiles was keen to dispel their dangerous reputation. His goal is to portray snakes as fun and friendly creatures. The joint boasts 35 snakes of 20 different species. Some of the popular ones include Trans-Pecos rat snake, jungle carpet python, corn snake, ball python, Brazil rainbow boa, Honduran milk snake, San Francisco garter snake and Baron’s green racer.
