Do you admit when you've gone wrong? Is it a challenge for you to be Humble and admit where you've made a mistake? For most of us, we try to place the blame on others before thinking about how we could habe acted differently, maybe taken a different choice in our actions. We tend to think of others first when it comes to who is at fault, and yet not as much when it comes to giving aid. That's kind of a messed up cycle. God wants us to be humble people, being able to admit our faults, ask for forgiveness and move past them, helping others to do so as well. How are you when it comes to being humble?

Today's Gospel states:'Then he began to upbraid the cities where most of his Mighty Works had been done, because they did not repent. "Woe to you, Chora'zin! woe to you, Beth-sa'ida! for if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I tell you, it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. And you, Caper'na-um, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I tell you that it shall be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you"' (Matthew 11:20-24).

Today's reading talks about how we need to be Repentant and humble. This means taking responsibility when we've done wrong, not putting the blame on someone else, and asking forgiveness. Only through doing this can we really be God's people, as it's the first step to making a change in us, and later in those around us. Take some time to pray and ask God to help you be humble and repentant.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for showing me the importance of being repentant. Guide me towards being a more humble person and admit my faults.
