The campaign to rid the world of Nuclear Weapons recently won the Nobel Peace Prize (which I think was both premature and a sign that the world is short of genuine peacemakers). As I’ve said before, “Disarmament is never going to happen. I cannot foresee a situation where those who have nuclear weapons will give them up” but as this article concludes
We have avoided nuclear war not through prudent leadership but good fortune. Sooner or later, if we fail to act, our luck will run out.

As Christmas season arrives – so does food and here are 6 (I quite agree with the author) that are quite strange…I’d also add kroppkakor and Swedish ostkakor (cheesecake is the literal and very misleading translation).
