I had to, or no, I Guess I didn't HAVE to, so I'll instead say that my driver's licence is up for renewal so I booked an appointment to go deal with that.  (I had a few months to do it but wanted it off my plate, it's a busy time of year and as you know not always my favourite time!)

It wasn't planned this way but I had a haircut the day before so my hair was looking decent and yes, I went ahead and put on some makeup, even though it's a grainy black and white Photo not like an author's portrait or something! Ahem.

So I got to the place, I waited my turn, I answered the questions and then we went to take my photo.

I explained to the nice lady that I'd walked there and was now kind of regretting it as I felt sweaty and warm.  She said we would look at my photo and could redo it if I didn't like it.

She snapped the photo and then looked at it, and I kid you not, exclaimed "OH!  It looks good!" and she turned the screen towards me and said "I've never taken a good photo in my life!"

And y'all?  She takes photos all day every day for her job!  HA!

I mean, sure, I'll take the complement I guess and hopefully when my DL shows up the photo is indeed decent or good but I had to giggle at this woman's shock and delight and then her seeming confession that she usually takes terrible photos.... all.  Damn.  Day!

So yay for her and hopefully yay for me, right? 

(And since my weight fluctuates by up to 5 pounds from day to day I chose the smaller of the "I'm not happy with these numbers" numbers and I'd love if next time I go to renew I can say an even smaller Number again, or at least not a bigger one and yes I'm aware I could lie but.... shrug.)
