Tags: writing book

I recently started the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov.  Yes, after watching the TV shows (which I very much enjoyed, visually and artistically and... uh.. acting...ly but got a bit lost in story wise sometimes.) but also after having really only read one other of his stories (iRobot.)

The strangest thing though was when I opened the Book to start reading and my brain sort of went "ahhhhh... home."

I don't know how else to explain it other than saying the Writing felt like coming home.

Perhaps it's the age of the book or the style of writing, because it's not as if he's an author I'm hugely familiar with.  I have, however, read a lot of "older" Sci-Fi in my life (starting in my youth) so maybe it's a genre with similar styles?

It was just a nice feeling.

Feeling like the writing was comforting me, or hugging me.  A bit of a strange thing to talk about perhaps, but it was nice, or is nice, whatever is going on.
