Unexpected

There's a gal at [workplace] who has been wearing little Halloween things for a few weeks now.  I finally asked her the other day if Halloween was her thing.

She replied by telling me that she can't stand the long days of Summer.  That she hates waking up when it's light out and going to bed when it's light out and so she just tries to get through Spring and Summer so that fall can finally happen and I Guess that Halloween is a symbol for her of having made it through the light times.

Which... as you can probably guess, was not something I'd really have thought was a thing!

But I mean humans are different and unique creatures right?  So while I'm out here having huge issues with the short days and the dark days and the lack of light, there are people the opposite and I feel silly admitting I had no idea that was a thing!

I, of course, can't wrap my brain around it but it's kind of interesting to know we're all built differently and for everything I like or need or do better with, there's probably someone the opposite.

I guess this gal and I equal out daylight wise!
