Which Lions player do you think will make their first trip to the Pro Bowl during the 2024 season?

When you look at the state of the Detroit Lions roster prior to the 2024 NFL Draft, things are looking pretty good. That is unless you are a fan of another team in the NFC North.

It’s not just that the Lions’ roster is super talented. It’s that they are super talented and still really young. In a lot of ways, they are just scratching the surface of how good they can get. Which is crazy to think about when the offense alone has two first-team All-Pros in wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and right tackle Penei Sewell.

Both are members of general manager Brad Holmes’ inaugural draft class back in 2021, and both are foundational pillars of the franchise today. Besides those two, rookie tight end Sam LaPorta garnered second-team All-Pro honors in his rookie year, and we haven’t even touched the defensive side of the ball where players like linebacker Jack Campbell and defensive back Brian Branch could both make strong cases for their first Pro-Bowl nods in 2024.

Which Lions player makes their first Pro Bowl appearance in 2024?

My Answer: There are really so many directions you could go with this question, but I am going with defensive tackle Alim McNeill.

It’s hard to put into words how big the signing of defensive tackle DJ Reader is going to be for McNeill in defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn’s defense. Allowing McNeill to operate more at the three-technique, where he will have more one-on-ones with opposing guards, should really unleash more of his potential as a game-wrecker.

With that said, I won’t fault anyone for going with Campbell, Branch, or someone else here.
