If you’ve made it this far, I commend you. This hasn’t been a kind season to Detroit Lions fans. It started with a big punch to the gut, and just when it appeared the Lions were offering some serious optimism for 2018, everything collapsed in an instant.

We’re now left to cling to impossible playoff odds or chase draft positioning, neither of which is particularly fun to do. And on this particular week, the Lions face off against a team that is experiencing the exact same thing. With games like Bears-Packers on at the same time, it’s admittedly a little hard to try and focus on a game with so little on the line, even if it is for our home team.

Regardless, if you’re one of the few that stick it out for a full 16-game season, pat yourself on the back today. It requires patience and loyalty, something this franchise seems to test every single year.
