Detroit Lions fan confidence has dropped 80 percent in 3 weeks

Cause I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Heading into the 2018 season, Detroit Lions fans would have probably said losing to the Chicago Bears would be close to rock bottom. Even though the Bears have exceeded expectations—especially expectations in Detroit—it’s never fun to lose to a rival, especially if it’s the team’s third loss in a row.

Of course, it’s not just that the Lions are losing, but how they’re losing. Detroit fell behind by three possessions for the third straight game on SUnday, and they haven’t looked like a team capable of competing since early October. As a result, fan confidence in the direction of the team has plummeted to a single-digit percentage.

In three weeks, the Lions have gone from 86 percent confidence all the way down to just six: an 80-percent nosedive.

At this point, there are only two teams with lower confidence than Lions fans: the Jets and the Jaguars. Somehow, Oakland Raiders fans have a 19 percent confidence rate. Maybe they’re just excited about getting the first overall pick and moving away to Las Vegas.

Regardless, it looks like Lions fans are growing skeptical of general manager Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia at an alarming rate. It’s only the duo’s first year together, but they’ve clearly dug themselves into a hole with this slow start.
