Lions cuts tracker 2017: Live updates to Detroit’s final 53-man roster

Don’t miss a single Detroit Lions transaction with our 53-man Roster cuts tracker!

Now that the Detroit Lions’ preseason is over, it’s time for the dreaded Roster Cuts to begin. By Saturday at 4 p.m. ET, the Lions roster must be down to 53 players.

At the start of Friday, the Lions were down to 85 total. However, that list includes several players that will likely not count against the roster for various reasons. For example, Armonty Bryant and Khyri Thornton could both be moved to the suspended list, where they won’t count against the roster. Players like Sam Martin and Taylor Decker, who currently count against the 90-man roster limit, won’t count against the 53 if they’re moved to the regular season injury lists—which they would stay on for at least six weeks.

Here’s a look at the roster as it currently stands:

Throughout the day, we will be updating the chart above and listing the cuts as they come in below.

Be sure to stay here all day Friday and Saturday, as this post will be updating live when the cuts start being announced.
