My daddy was my hero. He was always there for me when I needed him. He listened to me and taught me so many things. But most of all he was fun.

Dad… I keep thinking about, you even though it pains. I’d give anything to relive those memories again. I miss you.

A free-spirited person like you can never be proclaimed dead. You may not be around in person but your spirit will live on forever in our hearts. 

It hurts to think that you are not here anymore. Although I can’t help but smile with tears in my eyes to think of how we cherished each and every moment of our lives together when you were alive.

Dad, your memories have become my heartbeats – which means I am thinking of you all the time just to stay alive.

Dad, wherever you are I just want you to know that no matter how much we’ve fought and agued, you were right, is what my heart always knew.

How can the Heavens be beautiful when they have been nasty enough to take away my favorite person from me?

Just one last chance, I wish I could get to hug you. Then I would hold you tight and never let go.

Dad… I won’t immortalize you in the stars, because they fade away. I won’t remember you with a poem, for it will be forgotten one day. I will just keep you safe in my heart, so that you are with me in every way.

Dad, you taught me to be strong but sorry I’m letting you down… I can never be strong enough to accept that you are no longer here.

If I could write a story
It would be the greatest ever told
Of a kind and loving father
Who had a heart of gold
If could write a million pages
But still be unable to say, just how
Much I love and miss him
Every single day
I will remember all he taught me
I’m hurt but won’t be sad
Because he’ll send me down the answers
And he’ll always be MY DAD.

You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray
that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see
all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty
because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,

tomorrow and live yesterday,

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,

Or you can do what he would want:

I didn't get to see you be for you left,
Didn't get to say my good bye's,
didn't get to hug you and kiss you good night,
didn't get to tell you how much I was proud to have you as a father,
didn't get the chance to tell you I was sorry for being stupid sometimes,
didn't get to dance with you at my wedding,
and you wont get a chance to see your grandchildren,
and I wont get the chance to say I love you one more time.
I wish I could have those chances,
but I am glad to have had the chance of having a father like you.

Give 'em a hug, a great big kiss.
Because one day, he will be greatly missed.
My daddy has gone far away from this land,
I miss the precious touch of his loving hands.
I never knew last year was the last day,
I could look at my daddy, hug him, and say:
"I love you, Daddy! Happy Father's Day!"
Don't let one day go by without telling him
how dear he is!
Remember you may not have another year to tell him this!
All I have now is great memories, a heart
full of love and eyes full of tears, and
to remember his love throughout the years.
Now I will have to look up at the stars and
say, "I love you, Daddy! Happy Father's Day!"

heavenly father up above.
For your father he gave you with so much love.

I love you and I miss you dad,
and though you’ve passed away,
you’ll never be forgotten,
for I think of you each day.
If heaven celebrates this day

A gathering of the many dads

How wonderful it is, that they
can spend this day with you.

I hate that I can't see your face,
except for a picture on my mirror.
But I love that when I look at it,
I feel you are near.
I hate that you can't speak to me
when I mention the word "DAD"
But I love the way your voice is in my memory
from all the talks we had.
I hate that God took you so soon,
when I still needed you here.
But I love the thought of you at peace,
no more pain or no more fear.
I hate not knowing for sure
what happens when you die.
But I really love to believe
there is a heaven past the sky.
The thing I love to hate the most,
is when people think I'm so strong.
But it actually only seems that way because
I can't accept the fact that you really are gone!

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it … Dad

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
and whispered “Come to Me”.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
we watched you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
