Hello friends! How are you? I hope that you are well, and that your August has been treating you well. Can you believe that summer is nearly finished? I can’t. I am in denial that we are half way through August already!

Today I wanted to share a little mini-adventure we had this past weekend, while trying to find our epic in Wales.

This weekend we headed to mid-Wales, about 1 1/2 hours away, to a woodland area called Elan Valley. The reason? To see a giant mirrored ‘Epic’ sign of course. You see, Visit Wales is currently running a campaign called ‘Find Your Epic’ aimed at getting people out and exploring the natural beauty of Wales. The ‘Epic’ sign moves from point to point to showcase the beautiful landscapes that await in Wales.  I love the idea, and in fact it was Neal’s idea to make the trek to Elan Valley to visit the Epic sign this past weekend.

Once we took more than one selife of the Epic sign, we headed through the nature reserve around Elan Valley.  We’ve never visited before, and it was such a beautiful spot. The valley hillsides, woodlands and rolling green hills – I was in heaven.

And this little day out got me thinking: Wales is epic. Epically beautiful. Epic in the vistas. Epic in the adventures, in the history and culture.  Wales in one of a kind and I am so lucky to call it my second country and where I hang my ‘expat’ hat.

In my four years of living in Wales, I have experienced adventures around this small (but very proud country):  from mountains to seaside, to rolling hills to castle ruins… I’ve loved it all. I’ve been inspired, been fulfilled and I have been energized each and every time I experience the beauty of Wales.

I am beyond lucky, incredibly grateful and inspired to share this country with others.
