Planning an amazing Birthday Party for your kids can be tough. Most venues and activities around Vancouver offer birthday party packages, making it much easier to host a ton of cake and candy filled kids. But with so many options around the city, where is the best place to host your kid’s next party? You could go with a classic, such as a movie theatre, swimming pool, skating rink, or bowling alley. Painting parties, arcades, and play centres are some other great options that also host parties on the regular. These timeless venues are always a fun place for a party but if you’re going for something a little different, try on of these exciting spots for the next birthday party you host.

Pirates Adventure

Treat your little marauder to a voyage on the sea with a Pirates Adventure birthday party. The standard party package includes a 75 minute sailing adventure on the water, face painting, pirate fashions, and a special gift for the birthday buccaneer. You can choose between four different birthday packages ranging from $519.99 up to $1,229.99, accommodating anywhere from 20 to 42 guests. The top two packages provide your party with exclusive use of the ship and pirate themed loot bags may also be included, depending on the package you choose. You can upgrade with special add-ons such as additional sailing time for the private packages, additional pirate gear, or a pirate-themed piñata filled with candy, gold doubloons, and jewels.

The Apex Adventureplex is essentially five different facilities in one. Here you’ll find a trampoline park, bubble soccer arena, parkour course, rock climbing walls, and ninja warrior course. You can select a package with a party room or choose from one of the Simply Move packages. Packages are available for groups of anywhere from 8 to 250 people and all party participants will enjoy access to the entire facility. Small, medium, and large party rooms are available and each of them include 50 minutes of party time, use of a fridge and freezer, and a host who will clean and tidy your room for you.

The 6Pack Indoor Beach is 18,000 square feet of indoor beach terrain. The facility is filled with 700 metric tons of sand and features five beach courts. Rain or shine, storms or snow, you can give your kids a beachy birthday any day of the year. Kids can play volleyball, soccer, dodgeball, tug o’war, or go on a treasure hunt. Party packages include an activity area as well as a party area to meet, greet, and eat. Choose from a beach party, an archery tag party, or a dinosaur party package, rates ranging from $168 to $690.

Animal and nature lovers will love having their birthday party at Southlands Heritage Farm. Kids can meet the sheep, chickens, ponies, and bees, bake animal treats, or learn how to ride a horse. There are 10 fully functioning VR stations at this facility, TVs, high speed internet, a sound system, and projectors. Your party will have access to the comfortable furnishing as well as their partial kitchen. Packages range from 1-3 hours at a cost of $275 up to $825. You can also choose to rent a party room for an additional $50.

CircusWest offers circus themed birthday party packages with juggling, acrobatics, aerials, and other exciting introductions into the circus arts.Prices range from $264 to $317 depending on age level and the number of children attending the party. You can pay for additional set up or take down time at $50 per hour or portion of the hour.

Science World offers some of the most complete and worry free birthday packages around. You’ll start off in your private party room, then the children will be lead through science experiments, such as rocket launches or chemical reactions, by one of the science facilitators. Next they’ll be taken around all the incredible galleries and exciting hands-on exhibits Science World has to offer. Party packages range from $249 – $350 and you can choose between a Toddler Party, Science Surprises Party, Insect Party, Chemistry Party, or Tinkering Party. Most parties include loot bags and Triple O’s or Domino’s Pizza food order forms. An OMNIMAX film add-on is available for $5 per person.

Vancouver Aquarium

At the Vancouver Aquarium party guests will be allowed to explore the aquarium, have access to a decorated private room, enjoy cake and beverages, and visit the wet lab and the jelly hallway. Loot bags and food platters are available as an optional add-on. The birthday child will be named an Honorary Aquarist and will be able to feed the fish in the two-story Strait of Georgia Pacific Canada Pavilion. Birthday parties can be booked on Saturdays and Sundays at a cost of $485 for up to 16 kids.

Zen Maker Lab is the best place to host a birthday party for any little aspiring techies, builders, inventors, or makers. Kids can explore technology related concepts such as arts, 3D design, 3D printing, electronics, and robotics. The $500 party package includes all of the instruction and supplies for up to ten kids as well as an industry professional who will be leading the party, wrap-up space for cake and refreshments, a professional portrait of birthday child and family, and a group picture of the party attendees. For an additional cost, photography and video packages are also available, as well as longer time slots and hosting for larger groups.

Kids always have a blast at these venues but if you didn’t see anything that seemed like the perfect spot, think about your kid’s favorite activities. Just because a venue isn’t known for hosting parties doesn’t mean it’s not an option.
