Coffee and Barley Winter Care DIY Pack

Tags: skin winter pack

This time i am writing a recipe for an awesome face Pack for ETM. Hope you all like it.
This is a recipe which one of my friend’s who works as a beauty therapist gave me…. and it does work wonders for skin, not just dry but even oily, in winters. So all my friends can join the fun and save their skin in the chilly winters.

These ingredients are simple, easy to use and above all, although winters if used, they will give you a skin as soft as baby’s. In fact it has also removed my tan which i got in summers. And above all, those white heads have also softened and it easier to remove them. The coffee in this pack acts as an antioxidant, while barley flour, high on vitamin E, adds softness and scrubs off the upper layer to reveal soft skin. The essential oil smoothens skin even more. Remember not to sieve the flour as the scrubbing action is even better.

Ingrediants :

.Coffee powder (I use Nescafe sunrise cause the mix needs to be lighter… classic works fine with those who have darker skin tones. Don’t use Bru in here cause it didn’t mix well. I bought Re 1 sachets and 1 is good enough for single use). – 1 tea spoon.

Barley flour (apna jau ka atta…. you get it easily in winters. Do pack it in an airtight container or else it gets soggy) – 1 tablespoon
A few drops of geranium/lavender essential oil – 2 drops.

Rose water
A little unboiled milk (for those with dry skin only) or skimmed milk powder – 1 teaspoon.

Now here we go with the pack…. ready, steady, glow…..
Take a bowl and add coffee powder and flour first. Add the essential oil in the dry mix. Add rose water for oily skin and unboiled milk for normal to dry skin and make a running paste.

You can notice that this one has a slight scrubby feeling. The best time to use this pack is morning, but you can it use anytime.

Apply this mix on your face and neck with light hands. Do remember to put a band on your head and tie them so as to avoid this mix from sticking. In semi-dry stage, massage it with light hands in upward direction. Those with a problem of facial hair can scrub in the opposite direction of hair growth. After 5 minutes, wash it off with warm water or have a bath with lukewarm water.
I use it daily as a winter ubtan on my face and neck and as a weekly indulgence, i use it on my entire body. And i go baby like soft….. hmmmmm….. simply love it. In fact i was told that my skin looks pink now instead of the pale look. I have a Wheaties complexion and this one makes my skin nicely glowing.
Hope you all love it. Do tell me with your comments. It would be an encouragement.
