Two weeks ago, I moved away from Bristol. After 14 years in and around the city, it’s a massive change – but we wanted to be closer to family.

We’ve not only left Bristol, but the South West, too. Can’t get away from the letter B, though, as we’ve now taken up residence in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.

It’s an exciting move, as it means new food and drink places to explore: I hadn’t realised quite what a foodie town I was moving to. But it’s also the end of an era as far as Bristol Bites goes.

I started the blog in 2010 after I moved from London to Bristol, and had a hell of a lot of fun exploring the city’s food scene. While I’ll still be back for visits, it would seem silly to keep the focus of Bites on Bristol…and so Breaks and Bites is born.

At the time of writing I hadn’t changed the URL of the website, but my social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok) all now reflect the move. Bear with me while I switch the website over and change the design…it’s a laborious process and I’m not the most technically-minded when it comes to that sort of thing! In the meantime, I’ll keep sharing my local discoveries…both food AND attractions to whet your appetite to visit the South East!
