St Nick’s Night Market returns on Friday, May 5th

This Friday, May 5th, St Nick’s Night Market returns to the Old City – with plans to make it a regular occurrence on the first Friday of each of the summer months.

From 5.30pm to 10pm, Corn Street will be packed with some fantastic street food stalls, selling everything from grilled macaroni cheese to oysters, Indonesian classics and Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches. The venues within the Glass Arcade will also be open, including Spice Up Your Life, Olive Works, Eat a Pitta, Crafty Beans, Momo Bar, Matina, Pieminister, Low and Slow, Caribbean Wrap, Wokyko, La Lola, Portuguese Taste, Juice Bar, Cafe Atlas, Taco Barra and Eatchu.

The pubs, bars and restaurants in the area will all be open, and St Nick’s Night Market will also have its own bars: the Mr Wolf’s Night Market bar, Cafe Exchange, More Wine and Dick Willows Cider, among others. There’ll be entertainment too, from Shindig Festival resident DJs The Sly Players in the Glass Arcade, and from a range of acts on the Register Office steps. These will include everything from Anglo-Chinese pop fusion to high energy Irish and Balkan dance grooves.

If you fancy some late night shopping, the Exchange Hall and Covered Market will also be open.

Event organiser, Lorna Knapman, says: “I’m so excited to be bringing extra Night Market fun this summer. We’ll have delicious street food, tipples, DJs, fantastic musicians, stunning architecture, late-night shopping and great vibes! We hope you can join us!
