Pimento cheese could soon be a new menu item at Chick-fil-A!
Chick-fil-A announced that it is testing the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich this fall. Sad news for most of us because it’s only being tested for a limited time in select South Carolina and North Carolina CFA restaurants. But, we’re hopeful it’ll stick around like the tested items that are now a staple on the chicken giant’s menu including Mac & Cheese and Chocolate Fudge Brownies.

The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is a unique twist on the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. It features an original Chick-fil-A Filet drizzled with honey, topped with pimento cheese and served on a warm, toasted bun with mild pickled jalapeños.
The sandwich concept has been in development for over a year, according to Chef Stuart Tracy, one of Chick-fil-A’s senior culinary developers.
“This is the first variation of the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich we’ve tested as a seasonal item,” said Tracy. “We have a feeling Guests will love it.”
It’s the perfect balance
The sandwich was created to be a little savory with a little sweet and spicy. If you can’t do spicy, you would have the option to customize your sandwich to remove the jalapenos.
“The jalapeños add what we call ‘entry-level’ spice,” said Tracy. “They give the sandwich just a little kick, bringing a Southwest influence that pairs well with honey and pimento cheese.”
