The Caipirinha is Brazil’s national drink and the recipe is incredibly simple as long as you can get ahold of one key ingredient, cachaça, which is the Brazillian take on rum.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces cachaça
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 lime
  • garnish: lime wheel

Directions:

Cut half of a lime into small wedges and place into old-fashioned cocktail glass along with sugar. Muddle the lime and sugar. Add a few ice cubes, then top the drink with cachaça and stir well.

4. Pimm’s Cup

Who’s watching Wimbledon? Fun fact: when I was in my 20s I lived in London. One of my (many) jobs was working for a catering company in Wimbledon. Every day I worked there, I’d walk right past the All England Tennis Club. I was working there the year Boris Becker won…you do the math. Pimm’s Cup is the perfect refreshing drink for Wimbledon or any summertime party! . . . . . . . . #pimmscup #pimmsoclock #pimmsno1 #wimbeldon #wimbledon2019 #wimbledontennis #ginsta #gingin #gindrinker #drinkstagram #cocktailhour #englishfood #britishfood #borage #sangrias #spritzer .

The Paloma, NOT the Margarita, is actually the official drink of Mexico. Known as “the working man’s drink” this cocktail is really unique because of its two essential ingredients: tequila and grapefruit juice.

  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • 1/2 agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 splash soda water (or grapefruit soda)
  • garnish: grapefruit peel or lime wedge

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave nectar. Shake well and strain into a glass over ice. Add soda water or grapefruit soda. Finish things off by garnishing with grapefruit peel or lime wedge.
