What we know about the cast of ‘Dry Run,’ filming in the Cincinnati area

Mark Ruffalo (Left, photo credit Gage Skidmore) and Anne Hathaway (Right, photo credit Rene G) are set to star in “Dry Run.”

On the heels of “Gotti” and “The Strangers: Prey at Night,” Cincinnati is kicking off the new year as the backdrop to yet another major Hollywood film.

“Dry Run,” set for a 2019 release, is based on a true story about a Cincinnati lawyer, Robert Bilott, who filed a lawsuit against a chemical company for environmental violations.

The movie will bring some heavy hitters to the Tri-State, including Anne Hathaway (Ocean’s 8, The Devil Wears Prada), Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption, Bull Durham), and Mark Ruffalo (Spotlight, The Avengers).

Director Todd Haynes returns to the area after shooting “Carol” here in 2015.
