Our #XmasJumperDay raises record amount for local charities.
On Wed 19th December many of the team at Wrights Plastics wore Xmas jumpers to help us raise money for two great local charities – and our total of £320 was our highest ever!
The jumpers ranged from the stylish to the pretty gruesome but they were all worn in a good cause. Even those who couldn’t wear the jumpers for taste or H&S reasons made generous donations and of course there was lots of Xmas chocolate and cake to add to the fun.
In an act of Xmas generosity, the amount collected by the staff was matched by Wrights Plastics – helping us achieve our highest ever total.
Both charities are close to our heart:
Birmingham Dogs Home aim to “rescue, reunite and re-home the lost, abused and abandoned dogs from the streets of the West Midlands and South Staffordshire” and hope our donation will help them continue this work in 2019.
St Basils works with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping over 5000 young people per year across the West Midlands region with specific services in Birmingham, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, the Wyre Forest and Coventry. This is the 2nd year we have supported the charity.
Thankfully the jumpers, hats and t-shirts can be put in the bottom drawer for another 12 months.
