How the wireless patient call system works

Step 1. Mount the Nurse Station Console Receiver on nurse table or nurse room or even hang it on the wall and connect to power supply

Step 2: Distribute the remote controllers to different rooms, patient beds, service rooms etc.

Step 3: To intimidate a nurse, just by press the CALL button from a remote controller. The respective number gets displayed on the receiver console along with a beeping sound.  The remote controller has an inbuilt RF transmitter.  It sends the signals to the receiver console unit

Components of wireless nurse call system:

Remote Controller:

• Wireless RF remote controller (20-30 meters indoors, 50-100 meters outdoors line of sight)
• Each remote covers approximately 1500-4000 sq feet of area

Wall mount patient calling point:

• This unit consists of 2 buttons
• One wired button in the hand of the patient to call nurse (CALL button)
• Second is the CANCEL button on the unit
• There is a beeping sound from the calling unit, to alert patient at the time of call
• Operating voltage 12VDC @ 1.5A.  We provide a compatible 110-220VAC to 12VDC adapter along with the set
• Blue light for power on indication
• Red light glows on the press of CALL button

Door module:

• The door module unit is a receiver to a specific set of remotes (primarily in a room)
• It has light indications on 3 sides of the box.  The unit usually is  mounted on the wall (on the top of a door)
• Remotes in that particular room when press the CALL button will glow & blink the door indicator
• This is to indicate that one of the patients from the room is requesting nurse
• Operating voltage 12VDC @ 1.5A.  We provide a compatible 110-220VAC to 12VDC adapter along with the set

Repeaters:

• The repeater unit helps to increase the range of communication of the remotes
• Usage of multiple receivers (preferably in corridors) increases the range of communication.  This helps in covering signals from multi-storeyed hospitals, as well
• There are 2 varieties of repeaters, viz. normal range and long range
• Operating voltage 12VDC @ 1.5A.  We provide a compatible 110-220VAC to 12VDC adapter along with the set

The respective remote controller number shows up on the console receiver.  An alert beeping sound comes from the receiver console as well.
