Sensex up over 200 pts, Nifty reclaims 8,550; Nestle jumps 9%, Bharti Airtel up 3%
The S&P BSE Sensex surged over 200 points in trade on Wednesday, led by gains in ICICI Bank, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank and RIL.
Globally, the US stocks closed lower as investors eyed further declines in Apple's stock and slight recovery in oil prices, amid continued focus on the timing of a rate hike. Asian shares kicked off Wednesday on the back foot following yet another uninspiring lead from Wall Street.
