If there is one thing that makes living in California great, it's the beaches. Maybe that's one of the reasons Californians are so concerned about climate change -- sea-level rise could threaten our favorite sandy surf spots!
We're lucky to live in one of the few places in the world with a hydrogen fuel station network developed enough to allow us to drive Toyota Mirai, and many Los Angeles residents are.
Take Mark Mobley, of Garden Grove.
"I love it, and I feel like I'm part of the solution," he says. "People stop me in the grocery store parking lot to talk about it."
Mobley received his Toyota Mirai after taking a test drive last year, and putting his name on a waiting list. He's been driving it since April.
Availability of fueling stations still limits where Mobley is able to take his Mirai, but it's perfect for his 18-mile commute to work every day. There are several hydrogen stations in L.A., and Toyota pays for fuel for the first three years.
