HP’s new R2000 Printer is ideal for outdoor signs and more
Los Angeles, California:Nonstop Signs and Graphics of San Diego, CA, has purchased a new R2000 HP Latex Flatbed Printer. This new printer, which HP revealed in Berlin in May, is designed to allow for the printing of latex onto multiple surfaces. This new printer will allow Nonstop to create signage for their clients faster, with greater detail than anyone else.
“Once the HP Latex R2000 became commercially available in June, we knew we had to invest,” said company leader Brandon Stapper, CEO, Nonstop Signs & Graphics. “With the capabilities this printer has, our productivity will skyrocket. Taking a look at the numbers we predict output will increase tenfold, at least. We cannot wait until HP starts to ship these printers.”
The HP R2000 printer debuted at the FESPA Global Print Expo in Belin. Using HP’s “Rigid Technology”, this new printer can print on rigid or flexible materials. Car wraps, window decals, and outdoor signage can all be created using the same printer.
Another HP innovation is the 5-liter ink cartridge, as opposed to the previous incarnation’s 3-liter cartridges. This reduces operating costs, therefore reducing costs to clients.
“It’s real simple: We can charge less. This new latex printer is less expensive to operate and can do more than any printer on the market,” Stapper said. “Reducing the costs of signage can only benefit all businesses, allowing for more visual marketing and for businesses to increase their branding efforts exponentially.”
The R2000 has solved several problems in latex printing technologies:
· Whites stay white – In prior generations of latex printing, white latex would consistently fade to yellow. HP has been able to correct this, allowing new signs printed on the R2000 to maintain the crisp white that they start with.
· Bold colors – The colors of the R2000 are bolder, crisper, and better defined than any printer on the market. On rigid and flexible substrates, the colors are stronger than ever before.
· Lower operating costs – The reduced operating costs of the R2000 will allow Nonstop Signs and Graphics to pass the savings directly to their customers. Reducing the cost of signage will benefit every business, but particularly startups and small business.
