Story of Stars Reaches New Audiences Around the World

Earlier this year we produced 3 films for the Royal Observatory of Greenwich: The Story of Stars, What is Light, and What Makes the Universe Colourful? These bright, colourful films have strong geometric design influences, funny scripts and a variety of weird and wacky characters, all contributing to a fun and highly informative series of films that entertain while they educate the audience.

As the films continue to rack up the hits online, we’re also delighted to announce that they’ll soon be playing at Film Festivals near you (especially if you happen to live in Manchester, Greece or Armenia).  As some of our more ‘fart-gag’ heavy films of recent years, we’re especially pleased that they will be representing us at these illustrious events.

Film festivals are a vital part of the life of animated films. As well as attending and entering several each year (especially when they’re in sunnier parts of the world), Slurpy own and run an online Animation Festival Database, which lists hundreds of festivals and sorts them by criteria such as location, entrance fee and submission deadline. If you’re not already aware of animation-festivals.com, it’s well worth a look!
