VS Code introduced a new useful feature that allows you to try out themes without installing them.

If you cannot watch the video, please read on to find the steps you need to take to preview the themes without installing them:

Press CTRL + K and CTRL + T (CMD + K and CMD + T if you’re on macOS) to open the theme selector.

Then click + Browse Additional Color Themes… option.

Then, using the up and down arrows, select themes to preview them.

If you like a theme and want to install it, you can do so by clicking on the theme’s name.

A popup will appear, asking if you want to install the theme.

Click OK, and VS Code will install and activate the theme.

If you want to uninstall a theme, you must go to the theme selector again, click the cog icon, and then uninstall the extension.
