Build a Super Simple Stopwatch in JavaScript

Grab a cup of your favorite warm or cold beverage because in this tutorial we’re going to build from scratch a super simple stopwatch with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I build the project in such a way that you can get involved by adding new features or fixing bugs.

This way, you can train your coding skills and get those juicy contribution points on your shiny GitHub profile.

Here are a few suggestions you may consider:

  • Move the timer a bit down
  • Create some keyboard shortcuts so you can start, stop and reset the stopwatch using the keyboard (i.e. spacebar starts and pauses the timer).

Happy coding
