My Dear dear Salih,
I am heartbroken for you, your wife, your other children , your larger family, your friends, all the Syrian Kurds, and indeed all the Syrian people that you have lost your beloved and youngest brave, brave son Servan.
Words cannot express my sadness and compassion for you.
I wish I could put my arms around you and your wife, hug you both tight, show my love, admiration, respect, and wonder at your courage, your integrity, your wisdom.
This is a deeply terrible loss. But in the name of your wonderful son, I know that in time you will take strength from the love and support of all those around you - and indeed over here in the UK and in many countries of the world - and continue, in his name, your struggle for justice, reconciliation, peace, the end of violence and the restoration in Syria of good government, equalities for all peoples, all minorities, men and women, boys and girls.
And the rights of Kurds in all four countries in the region to enjoy their full rights, identity and freedoms.
PLEASE, please, receive my sincerest condolences and much love!
