The governor, while speaking recently during the 45th birthday celebration of Rev. Ntia Ntia at Full Life Christian Center, said that most of those who criticized the Bill own properties in other states and are paying tax for them.

“Our people don’t understand how government works. That is why people will go on the Internet to condemn the Real Property Charge Bill but many of them own properties in Lagos and paying tax for house, cars and everything.

But they don’t want it here in Akwa Ibom. Then our people will complain that government is not providing social services”.

The governor further noted that the current administration under his leadership, has recorded remarkable feats in all aspects despite the dwindling economy, adding he is determined to do more.

He further commended the church for being a good partner in the development of the state through sound preaching that has helped in reorientation, attitudinal change and mental rebirth of the youths.

It was pomp and pageantry as Akwa Ibom State Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel, His Deputy Mr Moses Ekpo, Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Barister Onofiok Luke, Secretary to the State Government Sir Etekamba Umoren, DG Divine Mandate Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, top government functionaries, the Political Class , Clergies and people from all walks of life, converged on Noah’s Ark Auditorium, Full Life Christian Centre, Uyo to witness the 45th birthday celebration of the Church General overseer.
