Two Dead in Separate Lake Mead Accidents This Weekend

The two deaths at Lake Mead this weekend appear to only really share one thing in common: the obvious nexus of the water. One of the deaths involved a woman, reported to be 63 years of age, who died during the time she was said to be snorkeling. Somewhat after 1:30 this afternoon the Lake Mead communication center was notified that this woman had surfaced in an unconscious state. This was in the Overton arm of the late. She was brought by boat to Callville Bay, though she could not be brought back to life by the medical staff on site there. First responders had also attempted CPR on her in the boat that first arrived and brought her to the Bay.

The other individual to die at Lake Mead this weekend was said to be a Florida police officer who died on vacation in Nevada. This also occurred around 1:30 in the afternoon, though it happened the day before, on Saturday. The 48 year old man was diving, and floated unconscious to the surface.
