Is it right to make a film on Sarbjit?

The Hindi film industry has been churning out the films based on real stories and one of them is Sarbjit, based on the story of a man named Sarabjit Singh, who claimed to be an Indian farmer. He was convicted of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death by Pakistan judiciary. His sister Dalbir Kaur fought with the system, asking government to pursue the release of Sarabjit Singh. She hired a lwyer in Pakistan and their plea for justice is supported across India and condemned in Pakistan. Sarbjit was attacked by inmates at Lahore prison and died after few days.

The truth behind Sarbjit, if he was a simple farmer or really a spy, will never be known to common people in India. If he ws a spy, the government should never reveal the same. If he was a simple farmer, he died a horrible death for no reason. Spies are always arrested and the government use them to negotiate the release of their own. This is what usually shown in films. Pakistan jails have been torturing and nothing like in India where everyone can get to plea and they are taken care of.

The issue here is that whether a film maker can take a story of a spy and make a film? This should be restricted. The films should not show the story of a spy and how the matters were dealt. Can Dalbir Kaur or the director Umang Kumar confirm that Sarbjit was a simple farmer? It is not right to discuss the life of a spy and it is definitely not right to make a film. Salute to Sarabjit Singh if he was a spy and if not, salute to his sister for her long fight to get her brother back.
