Veteran Congress Leader from Kannur K Sudhakaran was appointed as the new K P C C President by the Congress Party High command recently. Though this decision made some group leaders murmur, it was wholeheartedly welcomed by the majority of the congress party members and congress sympathizers in the state. Because many people thought that K Sudhakaran is the most daring and dashing leader in the party who could lead the party strongly in the present conditions.

K Sudhakaran has the habit of getting emotional before the mike. He uses offensive and inflammatory language to attack his opponents. During some public speeches in the past, he often used to make personal attacks on his political enemies particularly the Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan. But when he took the charge as the state President of the Congress party, all expected that he would exhibit some maturity and keep his tongue under his control. 

But surprisingly, Sudhakaran passed some unnecessary statements today in which he claimed that he had physically assaulted and kicked Pinarayi Vijayan during their college days on political enmity. The chief minister in a press conference has categorically denied this disclosure and made very severe allegations about K Sudhakaran. He alleged that Sudhakaran was a murderer and goonda who joined politics only for monetary benefits.

Watching the mutual mudslinging by two senior and responsible political leaders in the state may be a matter of amusement, but many people feel that it will only spoil the image of Sudhakaran as he started this ugly war. In the Pinarayi v/s Sudhakaran battle, Sudhakaran may be the loser as K Sudhakaran may not be as successful as Pinarayi Vijayan to present things in a smooth and non-emotional manner. Many people feel that Pinarayi Vijayan will gain more public sympathy out of this incident.
